Like many of you, I’ve been racked with grief over last week’s tragedy in Newton, Connecticut. There’s no way I could write perky posts about shopping. Instead, I’ve been trying to find a way to help the families who lost their children at Sandy Hook Elementary. I found the aunt of Noah Pozner, who is being buried today, on Twitter. She goes by the handle @VDog. Through her posts, I was able to make a contribution to cover the cost of Noah’s funeral. If you like, you can make a donation to help Noah’s four siblings get the services they need in their time of grief through the Noah’s Ark of Hope Fund. Here is the link for contributions. If anyone knows of other ways to help the Sandy Hook families, let me know and I will post them. #LoveforNoah
This is always a very solemn day for me. I remember what it was like here in the city, and I mourn those who lost their lives. I hope it’s not shallow of me to also mention the Catherine Malandrino dress people started wearing out of a sense of patriotism and hope. Seeing it makes me smile through my tears.
